About Akra FM
Akra FM is one of Turkey's early private radio stations and has been on the air since 1993. Based in Istanbul, it operates through terrestrial radio, satellite and the internet, with a large transmitter network reaching hundreds of Turkish cities and districts.
The thematic schedule addresses news, health, culture, literature, education and conversation, covering subjects connected with many parts of daily life. Satellite transmission also carries the service to audiences in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Turkic republics.
