About Byte FM

ByteFM is an independent, advertising-free music radio station founded in Hamburg. Its round-the-clock programme is assembled by a large team of music journalists, musicians and enthusiasts and is available online, on DAB+ and on selected local FM frequencies.

Rather than relying on automated hit rotation, ByteFM presents hand-selected recordings across indie, electronic music, hip hop, jazz, soul, folk, rock and many specialist scenes. Moderators add reviews, interviews, music history and portraits of artists, labels and movements. Listener memberships support the service and provide access to its programme archive.
