Capital FM London originates from the United Kingdom, broadcasting on 95.8 FM from London. It launched as Capital Radio in October 1973, one of Britain’s first commercial stations, under the Independent Broadcasting Authority. Initially offering varied entertainment, it shifted to a pop focus by 1974. After merging with GWR Group in 2005 and being acquired by Global in 2008, it became the flagship of the Capital network, known today as "London’s No.1 Hit Music Station."

The station plays Top 40 music, featuring artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa, and The Weeknd, with a playlist updated weekly to reflect current charts. It targets a 15–34 age group, mixing new releases with hits from the past year or two. Capital FM London remains a cornerstone of the city’s music scene.
