About Country Radio
Country Radio is a private Czech station founded in August 1991 as the first country-format radio service in Europe. Its music includes country, folk, bluegrass, spirituals and gospel, Czech tramp songs, Irish and Scottish music, southern rock and classic rock and roll. The official station profile states that Czech recordings account for about 70 percent of its music, with international recordings making up the remainder.
The station broadcasts from Prague on 89.5 FM and operates a wide network of additional FM frequencies across the Czech Republic. It is also available online and via the Astra 3B satellite. Programs include Dvorana country, the Czech and international chart Bonanza, listener requests, travel features and practical advice, alongside regular blocks hosted by Country Radio presenters.
