About Радио Астра Плюс
Radio Astra Plus is an independent Bulgarian station founded in Dupnitsa on 1 January 1998. Broadcasting on 97.2 FM, it was established with support from the Open Society Foundation's Media Programme and a mission connected with free speech and civic society.
The 24-hour schedule includes news, interviews, current affairs and music-information blocks. Bulgarian music, evergreen songs and established performers form an important part of the station's sound, while its reporting follows events in Dupnitsa and the surrounding region.
