About Rádio Boa Nova

Rádio Boa Nova is a cooperative station founded in Oliveira do Hospital on 19 March 1986 and broadcasting regularly as a licensed service since 1989. Its current 100.2 FM output places strong emphasis on local and regional information.

The schedule combines Portuguese and contemporary music with political debate, health, literature, education, sport and religious programmes. Local newscasts air several times a day, and shows involving schools and younger residents give community members a direct voice on the station.
