About Radio Bonne Humeur

Radio Bonne Humeur is a community station based in Bidart and broadcasting on 98.3 FM across the French Basque Country, southern Landes and part of Béarn. Pierre Buessard founded it on November 12, 1986 under the name Berriak FM, and it adopted its current name on May 1, 1989. Volunteers keep the service on air around the clock.

The schedule combines live and recorded programs, radio games, local information and music in French, with particular space for artists from the region. Specialist shows cover subjects such as sport and books, and selected editions are available as podcasts. Radio Bonne Humeur's broad local coverage and volunteer-led style give listeners a familiar connection to communities across the southwest.
