About Radio Bro Gwened

Radio Bro Gwened is a local, community-run and advertising-free station serving Morbihan since 1983. It broadcasts on four FM frequencies and online, with studios in Pontivy and a dedicated service in Vannes. The station is bilingual, producing about sixty percent of its output in Breton and forty percent in French.

Nearly one hundred volunteers contribute programs, regular magazine segments and special events. Coverage stays close to local society, culture, the economy and heritage, while the music selection explores sounds from Brittany and around the world. Jazz, rock, French chanson and many other styles also appear, supporting the station's alternative and curious approach to radio.
