About Radio Castrense
Rádio Castrense is a regional station based in Castro Verde and legally broadcasting on 93.0 FM since 6 July 1989. Its signal covers much of Beja district, parts of the northern Algarve and the Alentejo coast, and areas close to the Spanish border.
The extensive schedule combines regional news and live presentation with Portuguese music, fado, Brazilian and African music, listener requests and programmes about Alentejo heritage. Dedicated information spaces also cover the municipalities of Ourique and Mértola.
