About Radio Guiniguada

Radio Guiniguada is a long-running community station in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, created to provide an alternative, non-commercial space for communication. Managed by the Asociación Cultural Guiniguada Comunicación, it has nearly four decades of experience giving social groups and independent voices access to radio. Its output reflects a commitment to participation, inclusion and social awareness.

Programmes bring together debates, interviews, cultural material and music while addressing public issues that receive limited attention elsewhere. Projects such as FONOS and Sansofé have connected neighbourhood associations, schools, sports groups and cultural organisations with listeners across Gran Canaria. Online broadcasting and archived audio carry these community-produced perspectives beyond the island.
