About Radio Harstad

Radio Harstad is a youth-run radio station broadcasting on 101.9 FM in Harstad, Norway. Founded as Ungdomsradioen in 1984, it gives young people from 13 to 20 years old a place to learn broadcasting and make their own programs with guidance from experienced staff.

Participants can work as presenters and technicians, interview artists, report stories, and develop skills in journalism, social media, creative writing, gaming, music, film, drama, and photography. The station has served as an entry point into the media industry for former members who later joined NRK and other broadcasters.
