Rádio Lagoa traces its origins to Rádio Independente do Algarve, which first went on air in Lagoa on 2 June 1975. The modern station serves the Algarve on 99.4 FM, with 100 FM providing additional coverage around Ferragudo.

Portuguese music, regional news and listener participation are central to the schedule. Manhãs Algarvias, interviews, humour, children's stories and programmes about Algarve culture sit alongside fado, traditional music and a varied selection of international songs.
