About Radio Malva

Ràdio Malva is a self-managed, non-commercial community station on 104.9 FM in Valencia. Founded in the Malvarrosa neighbourhood in 1999 and based in Cabanyal-Canyamelar since 2012, it operates collectively and uses free software throughout its production system.

The schedule gives space to neighbourhood life, social movements, activism, literature, philosophy, cinema and music outside mainstream formats. Programmes include A Nuestra Onda, Crónicas de Libertonia, Díscola, Hard Cuore, Bop Street and BPM. The station invites residents to participate in programmes, technical work and monthly assemblies.
