About Radio Sandels

Radio Sandels is an independent local station from Iisalmi in North Savo, on air since September 2012. Its name evokes a figure associated with the region, and its broadcasting remains closely focused on local communities and the Savonian way of life.

Finnish music is joined by local news, current-affairs discussion and regular telephone request programmes. Interviews, announcements and familiar presenters give residents space to hear their own people and concerns represented alongside the entertainment.
