About Radio Vaasa
Radio Vaasa is a bilingual local station serving coastal Ostrobothnia in both Finnish and Swedish. Founded in 1985, it reaches communities from Kristinestad toward Kokkola and reflects a region where the two languages are part of daily public life.
Local news, interviews, events and practical information alternate naturally between Finnish and Swedish, supported by a broad music selection. The station provides a shared regional meeting place rather than separating its audience into two different services.
