About Radio Vanessa

Radio Vanessa has operated from the historic center of Venice since 1978 as a nonprofit community association. Its roots reach back to Walter Salvagno's RadioDiffusione Veneta experiment in 1975, and it describes itself as the only station still broadcasting from central Venice.

The station supports Venetian folklore, culture, social initiatives, emerging artists, and close links with local residents. Its schedule mixes pop and rock, Italian music, and presenter-led programs, while the service also carries public information from Venice and Veneto authorities and assists emergency organisations when needed.
