About Radio Vela
Radio Vela began in Agrigento in 1988, initially playing vinyl records and preparing tape reels for overnight broadcasting. The station later expanded its transmission network and now reaches a substantial part of Sicily, including Agrigento, Sciacca, Caltanissetta, Trapani, Palermo, Licata, Lampedusa, Pantelleria, and Favignana.
Its schedule combines long music blocks with daily presenters, weekend DJ sessions, entertainment, and national news every hour from morning to evening. Radio Vela also produces podcasts and audio content and makes its live service available online.
