SR 1

About SR 1

SR 1 is Saarlaendischer Rundfunk's main popular-music service for Saarland. It broadcasts on FM, DAB+ and digital platforms, combining contemporary entertainment with the regional and national journalism of the public broadcaster.

Current pop and familiar recent songs support morning and daytime presenter programmes. Saarland news, weather and traffic provide practical service, while interviews, comedy, consumer subjects, culture and sport broaden the schedule. Concerts and public events connect SR 1 directly with listeners across the state. Listen online for accessible pop radio backed by reliable public-service reporting from Germany's smallest non-city federal state.
