SWR1 RP

About SWR1 RP

SWR1 Rheinland-Pfalz is Südwestrundfunk's public radio programme for adult audiences in Rhineland-Palatinate. News, interviews, background reporting, weather, and traffic provide a reliable overview of the day. Regional journalists cover politics, culture, society, and events from communities throughout the state.

Its music format is based on familiar pop and rock favourites, especially songs that have remained popular across several decades. Presenters add artist information, listener interaction, competitions, and practical service features between the tracks. The online stream makes the Rheinland-Palatinate edition accessible beyond its broadcast area while preserving its clear regional focus.
