Tokyo Star Radio comes from Japan, broadcasting on 77.5 MHz from Hachioji in Tokyo Prefecture. Launched on December 24, 2006, as a community FM station by Tokyo Star Radio Co., Ltd., it aimed to serve Hachioji’s 560,000+ residents with a 20-watt signal. Initially called Hachioji FM, it rebranded to emphasize its Tokyo ties, growing into a local favorite with studios in central Hachioji and near Minamino Station.
The station plays a variety of music, primarily J-Pop, alongside jazz, rock, and occasional retro hits, featured in shows hosted by artists like Takumi Sukekiyo and High Jack Tarou. Its programming blends music with talk and radio dramas, appealing to a broad Hachioji audience and online fans, reflecting both local and Japanese culture.
