Tokyo Star Radio comes from Japan, broadcasting on 77.5 MHz from Hachioji in Tokyo Prefecture. Launched on December 24, 2006, as a community FM station by Tokyo Star Radio Co., Ltd., it aimed to serve Hachioji’s 560,000+ residents with a 20-watt signal. Initially called Hachioji FM, it rebranded to emphasize its Tokyo ties, growing into a local favorite with studios in central Hachioji and near Minamino Station.
The station plays a variety of music, primarily J-Pop, alongside jazz, rock, and occasional retro hits, featured in shows hosted by artists like Takumi Sukekiyo and High Jack Tarou.
