About Türkiye Polis Radyosu

Türkiye Polis Radyosu is a national public service broadcaster operated by Turkey's General Directorate of Security. It began shortwave broadcasting on 5 October 1952 and now reaches all 81 provinces through an extensive FM network, Türksat satellite, mobile access and online streaming, broadcasting 24 hours a day without commercial advertising.

The station combines music and entertainment with news, public information and messages about crime prevention, personal safety and traffic awareness. Programs include Az Bi Caz, İki Dünya Bir Şarkı, Aşkın Ritmi, Hangimiz Sevmedik, Top 20, Zaman Makinesi and Hatırla Sevgili, providing styles that range from jazz and popular music to arabesque and nostalgic selections.
