Wüste Welle

About Wüste Welle

Wüste Welle is a free, noncommercial community radio station serving Tübingen, Reutlingen, and the surrounding area. Volunteers create programmes about local culture, politics, social initiatives, education, and everyday community life. The open editorial structure gives underrepresented perspectives and grassroots projects a place on air.

Its schedule is notably diverse, with multilingual broadcasts and specialist music shows covering styles rarely heard in mainstream radio. Discussions, interviews, live sessions, and event coverage reflect the interests of the people producing each programme. The online stream extends Wüste Welle's independent voice beyond the local FM area and makes its varied archive of ideas and sounds easier to discover.
