About Yle Lappeenranta
Yle Lappeenranta is Yle Radio Suomi's regional service for South Karelia. From its Lappeenranta newsroom, it reports on a province shaped by Lake Saimaa, industry, tourism and Finland's eastern border.
Local news, interviews and current-affairs programmes examine municipal life, business, culture and changing cross-border realities. These regional broadcasts sit within the national Radio Suomi schedule, accompanied by Finnish popular music and countrywide news.
