About Yön Radyo
Yön Radyo is an Istanbul broadcaster founded in 1994 as Turkey's first station devoted to türkü. Broadcasting on 96.6 FM, it places Anatolian folk music at the center of its identity and works to connect the region's many cultural traditions with folk music from other parts of the world.
The station pairs carefully selected music with news, information and current-affairs programs. Its international collaborations have included broadcasters from China, Europe, Russia and Latin America, extending its interest in cultural exchange. Yön Radyo is also available by satellite and online.
