About Akademickie Radio Centrum

Akademickie Radio Centrum is the radio station of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, heard locally on 98.2 FM. Its history began as a university residence radio service in 1953, while licensed FM broadcasting has continued since 1995 from the Chatka Żaka academic culture and media centre.

Students and experienced broadcasters produce music, news, cultural, scientific and sports programmes for Lublin and its university community. The station is particularly associated with rock music, but its schedule also gives space to interviews, specialist shows and reporting from academic and city events.
