About BRF 1

BRF 1 is the first national radio station for Belgium's German-speaking community and is part of the public broadcaster Belgischer Rundfunk (BRF). Founded in 2001, it was created when the original BRF radio was split into BRF 1, focused on pop and rock music, and BRF 2, which targets traditional and folk music. The station's headquarters are in Eupen, with additional studios in Brussels and Sankt Vith. It broadcasts on multiple FM frequencies, including 88.5 MHz in Liège, 94.9 MHz in Amel and Eupen, 97.7 MHz in Namur, 92.2 MHz in Auel, 89.0 MHz in Lontzen, and 95.2 MHz in Brussels. It is also available via DAB+ in blocks 6B, 6C, and 6D, and can be heard worldwide through online livestreaming.
