Launched on January 12, 1976, as CJWW 1370 by Western World Communications Ltd., it initially aired an easy listening format before switching to country in 1980. Owned by Saskatoon Media Group since its acquisition by Elmer Hildebrand, it moved to 750 AM in 1985 and then to 600 AM in 1995, taking over the former CFQC frequency. The station operates from studios at 219 Robin Crescent, shared with CKBL-FM and CJMK-FM.
