About Első Pesti Egyetemi Rádió
Első Pesti Egyetemi Rádió (EPER) is a nonprofit community radio station based in Budapest, Hungary. It has been broadcasting on 97.0 MHz since 2004 from the Múzeum körút campus of ELTE's Faculty of Humanities. The station is operated by volunteer university students and educators, and its stated goal is the popularization of scientific, artistic, and cultural knowledge.
EPER's programming includes university lectures, magazine shows, documentary programs, radio plays, and oral history interviews. As a small community station, it offers an academic and cultural alternative to mainstream broadcasting, giving listeners access to educational content and creative audio works produced within a university setting. Together, these elements give listeners a clear and accessible way to enjoy the station throughout the day.
