About Metronom FM
Metronom FM is an independent Romanian station from Râmnicu Vâlcea that first went on air on 25 July 1992. Its name honours Cornel Chiriac's celebrated Metronom programme, linking the station to an important history of musical broadcasting.
The service presents itself as radio to be actively listened to, not merely heard, with hit music at the centre. Its local roots and decades of continuous identity distinguish Metronom from newer national networks and anonymous online playlists.
