About Oxide - Oxford University Student Radio
Oxide Radio is the University of Oxford’s student‑run station, broadcasting an inventive blend of music discovery, talk, culture and campus life from the heart of the city. Volunteers curate shows that move across genres, spotlighting emerging artists, local scenes and personal influences, alongside interviews, debates and features tied to study, welfare, societies and college traditions. The tone is curious and informal, inviting listeners into the rhythms of term and the stories shaping Oxford.
Beyond music and conversation, the station acts as a training ground where students learn production, presenting and editorial skills through live shows and podcasts. Schedules evolve each term, keeping things fresh and reflecting the range of voices across the university. With specials on arts, literature, tech and student initiatives, Oxide connects campus and city audiences who want original programming, new perspectives and a space for experiment in Oxford.
