About Posto Emissor do Funchal (Canal 2)

Posto Emissor do Funchal is Madeira's oldest radio station, officially inaugurated on 28 May 1948. Its Canal 2 service broadcasts on 92.0 FM and forms the FM side of a two-channel generalist operation that also maintains an AM service.

Canal 2 runs around the clock with Portuguese music, songs from earlier decades, daytime presentation and evening shows. The weekend schedule adds dance music, competitions, a Sunday Mass relayed from Funchal Cathedral and a programme following the life of the Church.
