About Radio Aria

Radio ARIA is an independent community station broadcasting on 99.6 FM from Longwy. The Association pour une Radio Inter Associative was formed in 1983, and the station first went on air in 1984 before resuming regular broadcasts in 1986. It now serves the cross-border area shared by France, Belgium and Luxembourg as the only local terrestrial community radio around Longwy.

Local information is central to the schedule, including a weekday morning program with press reviews, reports and interviews with people involved in civic, cultural, sporting, political and economic life. Music programs cover jazz, French and international songs, country, reggae, sounds from the 1980s onward and classical music. Replays and specialist programs extend the station's coverage online.
