About Radio BaHeNa

Radio BaHeNa is a local station for the unusual cross-border community of Baarle-Hertog in Belgium and Baarle-Nassau in the Netherlands. Its name is formed from Baarle, Hertog and Nassau, reflecting a service designed for residents on both sides of the intricate national boundary.

The station traces its beginnings to 1981 and has a long association with Dutch-language music and community broadcasting. Because Baarle-Hertog is enclosed by Dutch territory, its 106.7 FM frequency was assigned by the Netherlands, while BaHeNa itself is recognised as a Flemish local radio organisation.
