Radio Blackout

About Radio Blackout

Radio Blackout is an independent, nonprofit community station created in Turin in 1992 by participants in several local social and political movements. It broadcasts on 105.25 FM and DAB as well as online, operating without commercial advertising through volunteer work, self-management, and listener support.

The station combines independent and experimental music with grassroots reporting, political and cultural debate, and coverage of social movements. Radio Blackout also supports concerts, book presentations, workshops, discussions, and other activities that extend its community well beyond the studio.
