About Radio Clapas

Radio Clapas is a noncommercial community station broadcasting on 93.5 FM from Montpellier. Founded in 1978, it pursues a mission of local social communication by bringing together people from varied cultural and social backgrounds. Its programs create space for meetings, exchange, debate and independent expression within the city's civic life.

Citizenship, health prevention, solidarity and culture appear alongside a demanding and varied music selection. Radio Clapas also operates a youth information service and uses workshops to help young people design and produce their own broadcasts. Dedicated online channels highlight music from the Montpellier area, including local rock, jazz, chanson and groove.
