About Radio Martos

Radio Martos is the directly managed municipal station serving Martos and its outlying villages in Jaén province. It officially began broadcasting on 8 August 1993, created to address local interests and information needs not covered by other media.

Music is a major part of the station's output, but its public role also includes news, interviews, citizen concerns and coverage of events large and small. Special broadcasts follow the town's festivals and its important olive oil sector, while community members can use the station as a platform for ideas, requests and public discussion.
