About Radio Palermo Lido
Radio Palermo Lido, now presented as RPL, began in 1976 in Palermo's Arenella district when a group of young radio enthusiasts launched their own local station. The original project closed in 1979 but remained part of the city's broadcasting memory.
One of its founders revived Radio Palermo Lido as an online service in 2022, followed by a return to FM broadcasting. RPL now reaches Palermo and much of the surrounding province on 88.3 and 97.5 FM and is also available through DAB, streaming and mobile access.
