About Radio Ploče
Radio Ploče, also known as Radio postaja Ploče (RPP), began broadcasting on 28 May 1992 at 94.5 MHz during wartime conditions. The station was founded to inform the citizens of Ploče and the Neretva Valley about important events. It broadcasts its own programme 24 hours a day on 94.5 MHz with a 600 W transmitter. Its signal is audible from Ston, the Pelješac peninsula, Metković, Opuzen, Ploče, and part of the Makarska riviera. The station covers local news for the city and the entire Neretva Valley.
According to an independent agency survey, RPP is the most listened to radio station in the Neretva Valley, with an average of about 11,000 listeners. This high level of listenership highlights the station's importance as a reliable source of regional information. Its continuous 24 hour schedule ensures that residents across its coverage area have access to timely local updates at any time.
