About Studenckie Radio ŻAK
Studenckie Radio ŻAK is the student radio station of Łódź University of Technology. Founded in May 1959, it expanded from a campus wired service to FM broadcasting on 88.8 MHz in 1996 and began a continuous 24-hour schedule in 2005.
The volunteer-run station is commercial-free and offers independent music selections, specialist shows, public affairs, student culture, and original spoken-word programs. Its FM signal covers Łódź, while the online stream is available worldwide.
