About Zintzilik Irratia

Zintzilik Irratia is a free, participatory station founded in Orereta, also known as Renteria, in 1984. It broadcasts on 100.0 FM across Oarsoaldea and is organised through an assembly, independently of political, religious and commercial control.

The self-managed project gives airtime to local groups and people working for social change, while encouraging experimentation with radio itself. Its varied programmes include alternative and underground music, counterculture, interviews, books, cinema, local agendas, reggae, dub and soul. Zintzilik also belongs to the Arrosa network of Basque community stations. Listen online for grassroots broadcasting sustained by its listeners and contributors.
