About Radio Bronka
Radio Bronka is a free, self-managed community station that began in Barcelona's Roquetes neighbourhood in 1987. Broadcasting on 104.5 FM and online, it grew from local association and social-movement activity into a longstanding independent voice in the city's radio landscape.
Its programmes take a critical approach to social issues and have provided space for feminist, environmental, antimilitarist, labour and neighbourhood perspectives. Music is equally important, with a preference for self-produced work, underground scenes and artists from small independent labels rather than commercial radio formulas.
